The crew logistics lead ensures leadership and workforce management of crew logistics coordinators in providing timely and cost-efficient crew change logistics arrangements for on-signing and off-signing seafarers across all vessels w/in the group. Champion the use of key technology, tools, and crewing expertise to provide best in class crew change logistics service to V. and its customers.
Key Responsibilities And Tasks
- Own operational management of crew change logistics arrangement and lead crew logistic coordinators during shift schedules assigned.
- Ensure that crew change logistics arrangements made by crew logistics coordinators are within policy, procedure, and strategy.
- Ensure that crew change arrangements are undertaken by crew logistics coordinators within operational and budgetary requirements.
- Monitor service performance vs key performance indicators.
- Develop / execute data capture and reporting of key performance matrices and reporting requirements.
- Resolve L1 issues and concerns.
- Plan rotational duty personnel to ensure 24/7 crew change arrangement support function.
- Ensure the team had properly handed over any pending request/transaction to the next duty shift colleagues.
- Ensure all/any pending transactions handed over from previous shift colleagues are actioned timely and accurately.
- Ensure the manning of toll-free numbers to aid seafarers on travel-related issues or arrangement requirements.
- Ensure crew logistics coordinators are maintaining accurate records in ShipSure and ticketing system on crew change arrangements undertaken.
- Lead and develop competencies of crew logistics coordinators.
- Other tasks that may be assigned by the line manager as needed by operations.
Experience
Essential
- 5 years of relevant experience working in the crewing department of a marine management company with multinational crew in a supervisory capacity.
- Experienced in managing colleagues, customers, and vendors across geographies.
- Good communication (oral and written) skills Good organisational and planning skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and interact with people at all levels.

- Self-starter and able to perform tasks with minimal supervision

- Experience in similar crew logistics centre set-up from other maritime companies or related industry.
