Team And Role Introduction

Sortation supervisor is responsible for obtaining directions and instructions from the Management, discuss and implement the same to the team. Lead the team, ensuring to reach their goals in providing productive work and customer satisfaction. Responsible in Day-to-Day Sort operations. Responsible in monitoring workforce and report any concerns regarding outsourced manpower.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies gaps on underachieved hourly productivity on Unload, Machine and Manual Inbound, Sort and Dispatch.
  • Provides analysis for call outs on gaps between Arrive, Unload, Inbound, Sort and Dispatch volume encountered during operation.
  • Ensures docks are open based on unloading capacity.
  • Ensures unloading time is within SLA .
  • Ensures that the suggested manpower plan is implemented correctly.
  • Drives the team in compliance to agreed SLA of Inbounding cut off time.
  • Drives the team to achive hourly target for Unload, Machine and Manual Inbound, Sort and Dispatch.
  • Ensures machine utilization Is prioritized.
  • Drives the team in compliance to agreed Cut Off Time for Inbound, Sort and Dispatch.
  • Reallocates head count from one area to another that needs attention if needed.
  • Adjustment of Sort Logic on Mushroom based on prioritization of OB
  • Initiates request for additional manpower and overtime if needed to duty manager
  • Ensure all system configurations for both machine and manuals are up to date.
  • Drives to achieve the overall target truck utilization .
  • Ensures trucks bound to different Tier destinations are dispatched on agreed schedule.
  • Ensures dispatch plan provided by LHS Planner is executed on the ground.
  • Monitors and ensures truck vendor compliance to lead time requirements
  • Issues and escalations are attended within SLA including weekends and holidays
  • Validates and reports demurrage and foul trip claims
  • Reports quality and safety issues

Job Requirements

Requirements/Qualifications(must have):

  • Degree holder of any 4-year course
  • Atleast 2-year work experience in logistics or other related industry and in supervisory role/s would be an advantage
  • Above average oral and written communication skills; competence in MS applications, specifically MS Excel, graphs and other data presentations
  • Performance and KPI-driven, can work with minimal supervision
