Job Description

  • The Team Leader for Renewal is responsible for overseeing the team that acquires, negotiates, and secures contracts and property documents for telecom towers. This role involves coordinating with property owners, handling permits, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and managing the overall timeline of contract renewal projects. The Team Leader will also work closely with cross-functional teams and site hunters to ensure completion of contracts aligns with project goals and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Management and Leadership

o Supervise and provide guidance to the renewals team, ensuring targets and deadlines are met.

o Train and mentor team members on best practices in negotiation, compliance, and documentation.

o Coordinate team tasks, assigning responsibilities, and tracking project progress.

2. Acquisition of Documents and Negotiation

o Lead negotiations with landowners, landlords, and property managers to secure leases and renew contracts

o Develop and maintain relationships with property owners and stakeholders to facilitate future activities in the site.

3. Regulatory Compliance and Permitting

o Prepare and maintain documentation required for regulatory compliance and permits.

4. Stakeholder and Cross-functional Collaboration

o Work closely with estate management and legal to ensure site specifications meet operational requirements.

o Communicate project status, challenges, and requirements to upper management and relevant stakeholders.

5. Project Management

o Track project progress, resolve issues, and provide regular updates to senior management.

o Coordinate itinerary and schedules of field hunters

6. Reporting and Documentation

o Maintain records of negotiations, and contracts.

o Prepare regular reports on renewal progress, milestones achieved, and any roadblocks encountered.

o Ensure all documents are properly stored, managed, and retrievable for future reference.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in real estate, Business Administration, Telecommunications, or a related field.

• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in site acquisition, property management, or real estate, contract renewals and preferably in the telecom industry.

Skills:

o Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.

o Good understanding of telecom regulations, permitting processes, and zoning requirements.

o Excellent project management skills with attention to detail.

o Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

o Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.

o Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

Certifications: Relevant certifications in real estate, project management, or telecom site acquisition are advantageous.

• Number of sites successfully renewed within a specified timeframe.

• Budget adherence and cost-effectiveness.

• Stakeholder satisfaction and relationship management.
