About the Role:
Our client seeks a Collection Specialist who will play a key role in supporting the Collections team by effectively managing and recovering outstanding B2B accounts from global customers. This project-based position requires a highly motivated and results-oriented individual with excellent communication and negotiation skills. The Specialist will work closely with the Collections Manager and team members to achieve successful recovery and maintain positive customer relationships.
What you'll do:
- Manage a portfolio of B2B accounts with outstanding balances, proactively contacting customers to collect overdue payments.
- Conduct thorough credit checks and risk assessments to identify potential collection challenges.
- Negotiate payment plans and settlements with customers to resolve outstanding debts.
- Escalate complex cases to the Collections Manager for further intervention.
- Accurately track and document collection activities and customer interactions.
- Adhere to strict data privacy and security guidelines.
- Maintain a professional and positive demeanor when interacting with customers.
Job requirements
What you bring:
- At least 3-4 years of experience in B2B collections, preferably in a global context.
- Strong understanding of credit and collection principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, resilient, and gets things done.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in using collection software and tools.
- Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Knowledge of international collection regulations and best practices is a plus.
