Private Online Tutor for Elementary School Students (Full-Time)

Sunday to Friday, 2:00 PM - 8:30 PM Pacific Time (PT), 6 days a week

Job Summary:
Looking for an experienced, enthusiastic individual who can act as a 'Virtual Tiger Coach' to work with three children (ages 5, 7, and 10) based in the United States. This full-time, remote role involves providing personalized tutoring sessions in math, reading, typing, coding, history, social studies, and enrichment activities. The ideal candidate should be highly organized, proactive, and obsessed with ensuring the children are high performers academically and personally, keeping track of homework, assignments, projects, and deadlines. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to engage young learners. Daily and weekly progress summaries will be shared with parents to ensure the children's academic success.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct daily 1-hour tutoring sessions for each of the three children (total of 3 hours per day).
Research and provide age- and skill-appropriate books, reading activities, worksheets, and learning apps for all three children.
Prepare learning materials and activities tailored to each child's needs, including foundational skills in reading, math, and early language exposure, to emphasize age-appropriate foundational learning.
Track homework, assignments, projects, and due dates, ensuring each child stays organized, while helping them develop early organizational habits and establish a consistent study routine.
Provide daily and weekly progress summaries for parents, highlighting upcoming deadlines, and including observations on social and emotional development, as well as any notable interests or curiosities the children express.
Offer enrichment activities to challenge each child beyond their curriculum, including optional opportunities in Mandarin, Spanish, or Japanese, as well as music lessons such as piano or ukulele (guitar), if qualified. These language and music skills are a bonus, not required.
Collaborate with parents to adapt tutoring methods and address focus areas.

Qualifications:
Previous online tutoring experience with young learners. Do not apply if you do not have previous experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
Excellent communication skills in English.
Strong knowledge of elementary and middle school subjects, including math, reading, typing, coding, history, and social studies.
Highly organized, proactive, patient, and adaptable.
Experience with Google Meet, Zoom, or other video conferencing tools.

Requirements:
Reliable high-speed internet connection suitable for video conferencing.
Quiet and distraction-free environment for tutoring.
Availability to work from 2:00 PM - 8:30 PM PT, Sunday to Friday (6 days a week).

Compensation:
Monthly Salary: $1,000 USD
