Position Summary

The Technician shall be responsible for helping to achieve guest and internal customer satisfaction and team goals through the maintenance/operations and upkeep of all assigned facilities within the property, consistency of power and water supplies, and proper and continuous working condition of all facilities of the property.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensures the proper maintenance of all equipment and facilities within the company, as assigned by the superior, by diligently following the preventive maintenance program of the property.
  • Fully understands and complies with the instructions of the superior in operating and controlling the plant and equipment, as applicable.
  • Performs assigned monitoring and repair works on time to ensure guest/internal customer satisfaction and convenience.
  • Responds appropriately to guest and internal customer requests. Communicate such requests to the immediate superior and/or to the person responsible or department in a timely manner.
  • Performs routine inspection and works with preventive maintenance team, as may be required, while waiting for guests’ requests.
  • Shows flexibility in terms of one’s schedule to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the designated areas, as directed by the manager or immediate supervisor.
  • Abides to Company policy on grooming standards.
  • Be a team player; helps colleagues when possible.
  • Provides service to both guests and internal customers.
  • Provides accurate and correct information to guests about hotel, services, and amenities, as needed.
  • Responds to guests’ requests for assistance and/or information about the local areas (e.g., directions, places to eat, etc.), as needed.
  • Performs other reasonable duties assigned by his superior from time to time.

Qualifications

I. Experience

  • Preferably with 1-2 years of work experience from a 5-star hotel or large commercial building/shopping center in a similar capacity.
  • Working knowledge on hotel maintenance operations is an advantage.

II. Education

  • Vocational-related course or Degree is preferable but not a requirement.

III. Skills / Competencies

  • Average to good English communication skills.

IV. Other Attributes

  • Good customer service orientation.
