The Markets Senior Officer is responsible for handling partnerships, events, sponsorships, and providing business development or proposal support, and managing key client relationships across various functions and sectors. This multifaceted role requires a dynamic individual with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Partnerships:
- Manage the renewal process for partner and firm memberships, ensuring timely completion and adherence to requirements.
- Optimize the value of memberships by identifying and leveraging opportunities for the firm and partners.
Events:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute events, including conferences, seminars, and webinars, among others.
- Handle event logistics, including venue selection and onsite coordination.
- Help develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial guidelines.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless event execution and a positive attendee experience.
- Monitor activity progress and ensure that deliverables are met within the set timeline.
- Manage/maintain a database of all the firm’s events, including Partner and employee internal and external engagements
Sponsorship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing sponsors.
- Identify, assess and pursue new sponsorship opportunities aligned with organizational objectives and target audience interests.
- Collaborate with sponsors to develop customized sponsorship packages and maximize sponsorship benefits.
- Monitor and ensure sponsorship inclusions are delivered in a timely manner.
Business Development:
- Conduct market research to identify industry trends and competitors, and effectively managing client connections and accounts.
- Analyze market trends to uncover new business opportunities, developing, and maintaining strong client relationships by understanding their needs and offering tailored solutions, and overseeing the sales pipeline from lead generation to closing deals.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create and present proposals that address client requirements, produce and share content to enhance KPMG’s market position.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience in handling partnerships, events, and sponsorships, and providing business development support.
- Proven experience in planning and executing a range of events such as conferences, seminars, and webinars.
- Demonstrated ability to manage partnerships and sponsorships, including handling renewals and optimizing membership value.
- Experience in managing key client relationships and providing high-quality support.
