The Transaction Processing & Securities Settlements Head is responsible for the management of the team that processes and settles the transactions and deal records of BDO Securities (Fixed Income, Funds & Offshore Securities), ensuring accurate recording, confirmation, settlement and reporting of all transactions.

Duties and Responsibilities

A. Transaction Processing and Securities Settlement

  • Ensure complete, accurate and timely settlements of Fixed Income and Mutual Fund products
  • Monitor the daily processing of Fixed Income and Mutual Fund products
  • Monitor the processing of Initial Public Offering of Fixed Income Listings
  • Ensure client’s accounts are credited in settlement system and depository
  • Check reconciliation reports such as Inventory Reconciliation Reports and/or Stock Position Reports

B. General Supervision/Project Management

  • Develop strategies to achieve productivity in terms of shorter turnaround time for document processing and quick response to and delivery of required data/information
  • Constantly assess the unit’s weaknesses and capabilities to ensure faster response to problems and opportunities
  • Ensure that service delivery modes remain responsive to clients’ requirements by regular process review and reengineering
  • Trains and coach staff to be knowledgeable of the established products and operating processes
  • Assist in the development of product and/or policy manuals for new ventures/projects specifically in the areas of operating procedures, documentation and control functions

C. Compliance

  • Enforce compliance to internal policies and procedures as well as external regulatory agencies
  • Responsible in preparation of replies/responses to examination comments and audit findings by internal and external auditors for areas concerning the function

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Holder
  • Has a minimum of (7) years' work experience in Bank, Securities Brokerage or Trust Operations
  • Proven success in a managerial role
  • Strong decision-making ability
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills
  • Ability to motivate and lead employees, and hold them accountable
