The Sales & Marketing Director will be accountable for leading and managing the Sales team. He/She will be responsible for the field sales function (key/chain accounts & general market) for commercial products in the Philippine market (covering all regions in the Philippines); as well as the Marketing function for Philippines market.
The Sales & Marketing Director shall develop and execute sales and marketing strategies and processes; actively participate in strategic account management for the local market; and manage sales and marketing activities to achieve sales objectives.
The Sales & Marketing Director will develop, localize, and implement strategic and tactical marketing initiatives to drive the brands market penetration and perception.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the local sales team to ensure maximum productivity and results;
- Develop, standardize, implement, and improve repeatable selling processes to ensure the pipeline delivers the right deals and achieves sales goals and margin targets;
- Individually manage and sell solutions at one’s own assigned accounts and develop close working relationships with top-level contacts across the customer base;
- Seek out, qualify, and target new customers and new sales opportunities;
- Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies and plans to approach and secure new business for the Company;
- Establish and implement short- and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures continuously analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of the same in relation to maximizing results and efficiencies of the sales team;
- Develop and manage sales budgets ensuring accountability for execution;
- Develop and implement incentive compensation plans that influence the desired results;
- Develop and manage the pipeline collapsing sales cycle and growing deal size;
- Lead the New Product Develop team by delivering strong business cases and clear customer requirements for new project proposals. Drive the execution of project proposals;
- Develop and execute strategic and tactical Marketing plans and brand-building initiatives – includes but not limited to building digital and social media presence; improving Marketing and brand collaterals; tactical promotions;
- Collaborate with Finance on improving margins for accounts and equipment/products sold; as well as ensuring timely customer payments and no bad debts;
- Collaborate with Inside Sales, Operations and Finance to deliver effective Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) by leading with an accurate 12-month rolling forecast;
- Guide the technical service department by being the voice of the customer to ensure delivering best in class after-sales service for all customers to support sales growth;
- Represent the company at various community and/or business meetings;
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, sister companies, distributors, business leaders, partners, and dealers;
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate department staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree – Engineering (EE/ME); Sales/Management; Marketing; MBA preferred;
- At least 10 years’ experience in sales management and leadership; have a strong knowledge of food and restaurant industry; commercial kitchen equipment and related resources;
- Experience in strategic planning and plan execution; project management and change management;
- Strong sales and negotiation skills; have a keen market awareness and an ability to independently explore the market;
- Strong leadership skills – able to coach team members; good work ethic; strong team management ability; adaptable, entrepreneurial, open-minded, strong learning agility;
- Able to work flexible hours and travel frequently;
- Willing to work in Laguna Technopark;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
