The position is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of the Maintenance Team Members who are engaged in setting-up, installing, commissioning, repairing and maintaining machinery and equipment of SPQI plant and Utility System.

Maintenance Operations Work Process

  • Directs Team Members in electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment plantwide.
  • Plans and schedules work activities of Maintenance Team Members and Contractors and estimates working hours for the completion of job assignments from Work Orders generated and priority
  • Review, analyze and make adjustment and repairs as necessary for 3RD party PM report on Chiller, Compressed Air, Forklifts, Air Conditioning and other contracted Maintenance Services
  • Lead Troubleshoots/repairs process abnormalities during normal process operations on all production areas.
  • Develop and train new Maintenance Specialists. Perform duties or services of Maintenance Specialist when necessary
  • Study, decide and initiate procurement of materials for maintenance, tools and equipment needed and keep record of inventory
  • Ensures that all Maintenance records conform to ISO 9001 standards and other customer related requirements
  • Develop, document and communicate standard operating procedures for team’s common reference and understanding.
  • Ensure compliance to safety and environmental regulations.
  • Leads and facilitates, projects, meetings and root cause analysis to resolve maintenance and electrical/instrument issues
  • Lead, Identify, implement projects for Sustainability and Energy Management Program of the site (Consolidate Site reports and submit Annual Energy Utilization report to Department of Energy.)

PSM Mechanical Integrity

  • Compliance to all PSM-Mechanical Integrity Program for electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic (PM Master Schedule, Calibration Master Schedule)
  • Review and update MI Procedure and Develop new Program and policies as needed.
  • In-charge on PSV, PBD, Interlock Test, Rupture Disk and other PSM-MI Electrical/Instrument requirements
  • Initiates and track to completion Root Cause Analysis and Management of Change related to PSM-Mechanical Integrity (Electrical/Instrument)
  • Prepare repair plan for temporary or permanent repair of PSM-MI related asset includes deficiency report, risks assessment and all necessary documents to complete the job (Electrical/Instrument)

Maintenance and Planning

  • Organizes planned and unplanned preventive maintenance activities, monitor progress and ensure completion on defined timeline
  • In charge on supervision and implementation of Annual, Semi, Schedule and un-schedule Shutdown activities for maintenance and 3rd party contractor. Communicates and coordinates all maintenance, utilities and shutdown activities to all stakeholders.
  • Conducts and ensures that preventive/predictive maintenance programs and activities are followed according to established procedures
  • Conducts routine equipment monitoring and equipment repair as necessary (Electrical/Instrument)

SPARE PARTS MONITORING

  • Ensures that spare parts’ safety stock levels are maintained.
  • Accountable for the control and monitoring of goods movement and ensure zero inventory variance

HUMAN RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT

  • Communicates and enforces company policies and procedures to team members.
  • Coaching of subordinates to achieve performance target.
  • Assists in preparing developmental plans of subordinates.
  • Prepares the performance appraisal of subordinates.
  • Review and approve Team Members’ time records
  • Supervises and directs contractors’ daily activities.

REPORT PREPARATION

  • Prepares and monitors maintenance budget and capital expenditures for the Maintenance Section.
  • Supports the timely and accurate completion of reports that are critical to the operations, such as KPI, Monthly reports to Maintenance Manager, Quarterly for Sustainability and Annual Report for Department of Energy
  • Prepares incident report as needed.

Special/Ad-Hoc Duties and Responsibilities

ASSISTANCE IN ENGINEERING PROJECTS

  • May provide technical assistance and/or insight for the planning and implementation of select engineering projects

PURCHASING ASSISTANCE

  • Assists Purchasing on technical evaluation of proposal

PROCESS IMPROVEMENT

  • Propose process improvement and cost excellence initiatives
  • Participates in workgroup activities and ISO related activities.
  • Participate in all EHSS program.
  • May be designated to attend off-site training related to maintenance/mechanical integrity as needed
  • Performs other duties/tasks that may be assigned from time to time

Qualification Requirements

  • Education. Graduate of a five-year college course, preferably electrical or mechanical engineering
  • Experience. 2-3 years relevant experience in a similar capacity
  • Licenses. (Preference) Licensed Electrical or Mechanical Engineer
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
