Nutrimax, Inc. is looking for an experienced Engineering Supervisor with a strong background in mechanical engineering to join our Nutrimax facility in Tagoloan. This role involves overseeing mechanical maintenance, ensuring machinery reliability, and leading a team of technicians to support efficient production in a food manufacturing environment. The Engineering Supervisor will manage the upkeep and repair of mechanical equipment, ensure safety standards are met, and drive improvements in equipment performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance Planning and Execution
- Develop and implement a regular maintenance schedule for all mechanical equipment to ensure smooth operations and minimize unplanned downtime.
- Quickly troubleshoot and repair machinery to keep production running efficiently and safely.
- Ensure maintenance work follows strict safety, quality, and compliance standards, including HACCP and ISO protocols.
- Team Leadership and Development
- Supervise, train, and guide a team of mechanical technicians, promoting skill development and effective teamwork.
- Set clear team objectives, conduct performance evaluations, and provide ongoing support to help technicians succeed in their roles.
- Process Optimization
- Identify areas for improvement in machinery performance and efficiency, and implement solutions to enhance operations.
- Collaborate with production and quality control teams to address equipment issues and refine processes for improved productivity and quality.
- Inventory and Budget Oversight
- Manage inventory levels for mechanical parts and coordinate with suppliers to ensure critical components are available.
- Track and manage the maintenance budget, finding cost-effective solutions and planning for future equipment investments as needed.
- Safety and Compliance
- Uphold and promote company safety policies and local regulatory standards across all mechanical maintenance activities.
- Conduct regular safety assessments on equipment and maintenance procedures, addressing any risks promptly.
- Documentation and Reporting
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance activities, equipment repairs, and parts usage.
- Prepare regular reports on equipment performance, downtime, and maintenance costs for review by the Engineering Manager.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Licensed Mechanical Engineer
- Experience: At least 5 years in mechanical maintenance, with 2+ years in a supervisory role, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Technical Skills: Strong skills in mechanical troubleshooting, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and familiarity with ERP or maintenance software.
- Preferred Certifications: HACCP, ISO, or GMP certifications in food safety or quality are a plus.
