Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Upwork Account Manager to oversee and optimize our company’s presence on the Upwork platform. This role will start as a part-time position with the potential to transition into a full-time role based on performance and company needs. The ideal candidate will have at least 2+ years of experience managing Upwork accounts, crafting winning proposals, identifying new business opportunities, and maintaining strong client relationships.
Position Details:
• Start Pay: Competitive hourly rate, based on experience, with performance-based reviews.
• Hours: Begins as part-time with the opportunity to move to full-time; flexible working hours focusing on key client interaction times.
• Holidays: Paid time off for all U.S. federal holidays. (only for full time)
Responsibilities:
• Manage and enhance our Upwork profile, ensuring it effectively showcases our company’s services and strengths.
• Research and identify relevant job postings, crafting high-quality, custom proposals that align with client requirements.
• Communicate promptly with potential clients, addressing their questions and setting up discussions to convert leads into contracts.
• Track and analyze the success of proposals, gather client feedback, and adjust strategies to improve job win rates.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather accurate information about our offerings and align proposals with project scopes.
• Oversee active contracts, ensuring client satisfaction, and addressing any client-related issues or escalations.
• Maintain detailed records of client interactions and project information for transparency and reporting.
• Stay updated on Upwork’s policies, algorithm changes, and best practices to ensure optimal account performance.
Requirements:
• Experience: Minimum of 2+ years managing an Upwork account or similar freelance platform.
• Proposal Writing Skills: Proven ability to write compelling, client-focused proposals.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strategic Thinking: Capable of developing and executing strategies to maximize proposal success and client engagement.
• Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple client communications and proposals.
• Remote Experience: Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a virtual environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiarity with Upwork’s tracking and reporting tools.
• Basic knowledge of project management tools to coordinate with internal teams.
• Business development or sales experience in a digital services company.
• Proficiency with AI tools to enhance proposal writing and communication efficiency.
