We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Corporate Actions Analyst.

In this role, you will:

  • Acquire a broad understanding of all the Corporate Action processes and market specifications for various markets assigned
  • Review various sources of CA announcement from vendor source or market to validate and confirm golden source of information
  • Liaise with different groups like IT, external party, Share Registrar, agent, etc. to resolve exceptions
  • Perform Quality Control, manage complex cases, escalations and queries that require resolutions.
  • Assists to plan capacities daily and intra-day based on projections and volume analysis and allocate/reallocate resources within the team.
  • To have a tight control to prevent any operational losses by establishing methods and check points to scrutinize exceptions/errors and to prevent potentially fraudulent situations through strong internal audit and staff feedback mechanisms.
  • Ensure compliance with audit requirements by performing audit checks as required by process in line with business process requirements.
  • Lead by example to provide Service excellence, evident with behavior demonstrated aligned with HSBC values and culture of Asset Services Operations

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Possess equivalent experience in Securities, Corporate Action, Income or a Finance graduate with background in Operations.
  • Excellent Global Custody and Securities Services Industry
  • Ability to speak and understand English fluently, write business letters and reports, and have good conversational / telephone skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly, transfers knowledge appropriately, understand and interpret numeric data.
  • Demonstrates strong awareness / ability to recognize and effectively contain financial and operational risk
  • Able to work in time sensitive environment and manage priorities effectively.
