As a Junior Auditor, you will perform a range of tasks related to auditing, including reviewing financial statements and other documents for accuracy and consistency. You will also be responsible for identifying potential issues or problems with company procedures or policies. You will have the opportunity to take on larger, more complex engagements if needed. You’ll also be expected to work outside of normal business hours if needed to complete client projects. Travel may be required in connection with professional development activities or client assignments.
Specific Responsibilities:
1. Audit engagements from start to finish:Develop the audit strategy based on an understanding of the client’s business and industry, including the time budget and detailed staff assignments. Oversee day-to-day audit work. Draft audit reports and other deliverables.
2. Client Coordination: Serve as on-site liaison/point person between the engagement team and the client. Effectively communicate with the client to obtain the necessary information to complete the engagement.
3. Technical and Administrative: Manage team communication, keeping all parties well informed of engagement status, budget, and issues. Perform and document work in accordance with industry and Firm standards.
Qualifications:
- Graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy (BSA)
- Must be a Certified Public Accountant
- At least two (2) years of external audit experience in a public accounting environment
- Good communication skills (verbal and written) and strong customer service orientation
- Ability to identify accounting issues, conduct research, and suggest solutions
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in using computer and MS Office and spreadsheets.
