We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team, supporting the financial health of the business through precise record-keeping and regular reporting.
**Position Summary:**
The Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring all transactions are correctly documented, and supporting the financial reporting needs of Stone Horizon. This role includes managing invoices, reconciling accounts, and generating financial reports to give the team a clear, up-to-date picture of our financial position. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, skilled in accounting software, and familiar with reconciliation and reporting processes.
**Key Responsibilities:**
**Invoice and Payment Management:**
- Enter and verify all customer and supplier invoices in the accounting system, ensuring accurate documentation of transactions.
- Record all payments and receipts, including non-GST transactions, and resolve any queries related to accounts in a timely manner.
**Bank and Account Reconciliation:**
- Reconcile bank accounts, loans, and credit card statements regularly to ensure accuracy.
- Verify the integration of different business systems into the accounting record, maintaining an up-to-date financial position.
**Financial Reporting and Record Maintenance:**
- Prepare and distribute regular Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss reports.
- Report on outstanding debtors and creditors, and provide cash flow insights for upcoming supplier payments.
- Maintain records of assets and process depreciation entries as needed.
**Journal Entries and Adjustments:**
- Process accrual and prepayment journals to accurately reflect expenses and revenues.
- Maintain thorough records of all journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.
**Qualifications:**
- Proven experience in bookkeeping, ideally within the property management or real estate sector.
- Proficiency in accounting software (experience with Xero is an advantage).
- Strong attention to detail, with a solid understanding of reconciliation and reporting.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
