We are looking for a dedicated and experienced B2B Sales Representative to expand our sales to archery retailers in the USA.
Role Summary:
We are seeking a skilled freelance accountant to manage our financial reconciliations, track expenses, and generate financial reports for management. The role requires specific experience with e-commerce platforms, including Amazon and Shopify, to ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of sales data. Initially, the accountant will perform reconciliations for January to October 2024. Following this catch-up phase, the accountant will continue to manage monthly reconciliations and financial reporting on an ongoing basis, with work completed during the first week of each month.
Key Responsibilities:
- Catch-Up Reconciliation: Perform reconciliations for all accounts from January to October 2024 to ensure historical accuracy.
- Monthly Reconciliation: Conduct monthly reconciliations for all accounts beginning in November, to be completed within the first week of each month.
- E-commerce Accounting: Manage and reconcile transactions from Amazon and Shopify, ensuring accurate data entry and alignment with QuickBooks Online.
- Expense Tracking and Categorization: Track and categorize all business expenses to ensure accurate and organized records.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements and reports, including balance sheets and income statements, for management review.
- Financial Accuracy: Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded in QuickBooks Online, including expenses, income, and adjustments.
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any discrepancies found during reconciliation, particularly in transactions from Amazon and Shopify.
- Compliance: Ensure financial practices comply with accounting standards and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, with specific expertise in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
- E-commerce Knowledge: Demonstrated experience working with Amazon and Shopify, with a clear understanding of e-commerce transaction flows.
- Reconciliation Skills: Proven track record in account reconciliation and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Expense Management: Proven ability to track, categorize, and report expenses accurately.
- Reporting Skills: Experience preparing financial statements and providing insights for management.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and commitment to financial accuracy.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies independently.
- Communication: Good communication skills for clear reporting and collaboration with the finance team.
- Availability: Ability to complete reconciliations for January to October 2024 promptly and commit to monthly reconciliations and reporting in the first week of each month moving forward.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with e-commerce or product-based businesses.
- Understanding of tax implications and accounting standards relevant to a US-based company.
