Experienced Bookkeeper (QuickBooks, Data Entry, Payroll, Trucking & Logistics)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. This position requires a strong background in QuickBooks, data entry, payroll, and an understanding of the trucking industry. Experience in logistics will be a plus. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, processing payroll, and ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions within our organization.

Responsibilities:

Recording Transactions: Accurately enter financial transactions into QuickBooks, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
Maintaining Financial Records: Organize and manage financial records, ensuring all documents are filed correctly for easy retrieval.
Reconciliation: Perform bank reconciliations to match bank statements with internal records and identify discrepancies.
Generating Reports: Prepare financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements to summarize the financial health of the business.
Preparing Invoices: Create and send invoices to clients and follow up on payments to ensure timely collections.
Managing Payroll: Process payroll on time, ensure accuracy, and manage employee deductions and taxes.
Tax Preparation: Assist in preparing tax returns and ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
Budgeting: Help prepare budgets and monitor expenses to stay within allocated spending limits.
Audit Support: Provide necessary documentation and explanations during audits to ensure smooth and accurate reporting.
Communication: Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and address any financial inquiries.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in QuickBooks and data entry.
Strong understanding of payroll processing.
Familiarity with financial reporting, reconciliation, and budgeting.
Knowledge of the trucking industry is a plus.
Experience in logistics will be helpful.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
