Join a dedicated healthcare team managing procurement for 14 assisted living facilities, where you’ll play a key role in ensuring the timely, cost-effective, and quality-driven acquisition of essential supplies.
What You’ll Do:
- Vendor and Product Oversight: Manage relationships with 12 primary suppliers, keeping item catalogs current, monitoring product availability, and overseeing expenditure through our company’s procurement software, Adelpo.
- Purchase Order Review: Oversee purchase requests from facility administrators, approve orders based on budget and item availability, and coordinate custom orders with vendors.
- Budget Monitoring: Enforce monthly spending limits through the PPD (per person per day) formula to prevent overspending and ensure purchase requests align with budget allocations.
- Communication: Act as the main contact for facility administrators, dietary and maintenance managers, and vendors, providing clear guidance on procurement protocols.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of purchase orders and vendor agreements, ensuring transparency on procurement activities with internal stakeholders.
- After-Hours Support: Remain available for urgent requests outside standard hours, especially in emergency situations.
Who You’ll Work With:
Collaborate closely with facility administrators, dietary and maintenance managers, and a network of trusted suppliers, ensuring that every procurement decision supports the daily operations and well-being of residents in our assisted living communities.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Strong Communication Skills: Capable of managing high-volume interactions with professionalism and patience.
- Attention to Detail: Proficiency in reviewing purchase orders, tracking budgets, and ensuring vendor information accuracy.
- Purchasing Experience: Previous procurement experience, particularly in eCommerce or healthcare, is a plus but not necessary.
- Adaptability and Initiative: Proven ability to manage tasks proactively, solicit vendor quotes, and ensure cost efficiency.
- Excel Proficiency: For accurate budget management and purchase documentation.
- Professional Demeanor: Ability to handle issues diplomatically, maintaining calm under pressure and in urgent situations.
