POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Medical Affairs Managers will assist the Medical and Regulatory Affairs Department (MRAD) Head/Medical Director in the compilation and analysis of all medical, scientific, and technical information; review and strengthen strategies for product sales, training, and promotion; assess and evaluate product safety and effectiveness, and contribute to new product development and clinical trial research.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Oversees medical-marketing activities including promotional material review and approval, and product information formulation
- Provides consultation to Medical Information and Pharmacovigilance personnel
- Work with Product Managers to develop strategies to support brand commercialization activities and ensure these activities are conducted within the company’s principles and ethical standards
- Provide support in training of marketing and sales force
- Participate in advisory committees and other professional relations activities
- Participate in advertising standards council hearings in lieu of the MRAD Head/Medical Director as needed
- Establish and maintain contacts with external experts, and thought leaders in the country
- Develop and maintain productive relationships with relevant professional societies
- Assist in clinical trial research activities
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) graduate from an accredited and reputable medical school, and duly licensed by the Professional Regulation Commission
- Degree in Medicine: Residency training: Internal Medicine or Family Medicine is an advantage.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint is essential
- Good negotiation skills with stakeholders and a good team player
