The company is growing with a small team of full-time and part-time contractors working across the Asia-Pacific region, currently all reporting to the Operations Manager, also based in the Philippines whilst our Managing Director is based in Brisbane, Australia. We deliberately hire talent in different regions of the world to keep costs down, create diversity, and build a multi-lingual team.
Role Purpose
The Project Manager will be accountable for the successful delivery of all assigned Reliability Academy projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This includes managing at least 6–8 course translation projects annually and overseeing future custom software development projects, such as the development of our custom LMS, various online tools and potentially mobile apps. Using strong organizational skills and a collaborative approach, the PM will establish project schedules, manage resources, and proactively mitigate risks while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
As Project Manager your initial responsibilities will consist of:
Project Planning and Execution
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and budgets for all assigned projects.
- Create and track comprehensive project plans, ensuring all milestones and deliverables are clearly defined.
- Ensure all projects are aligned with organizational goals and client expectations.
Course Translation Projects
- Manage 6–8 translation projects per year, coordinating internal tea m me mbers and external contractors worldwide (translators, video editors, VAs) to ensure timely delivery.
- Monitor quality across multiple languages translation projects and implement feedback loops to enhance processes.
- Balance resources across parallel projects while maintaining delivery standards.
Custom Software Development Projects
- Oversee web and app development initiatives, including the design and delivery of our custom LMS and other online tools.
- Collaborate with developers, designers, and stakeholders to ensure requirements are met and solutions are scalable.
- Use Agile/Scru m me thodologies to manage development sprints, prioritize tasks, and facilitate regular retrospectives.
Project Oversight and Accountability
- Monitor project performance, addressing deviations from the plan and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain detailed documentation of project activities, including schedules, budgets, and risk assessments.
- Conduct post-project reviews to identify successes and areas for improvement.
Team Collaboration and Communication
- Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring expectations are managed and updates are provided regularly.
- Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, promoting transparency and accountability.
- Lead project meetings, set agendas, and facilitate discussions to maintain mome ntum.
Risk Management and Problem Solving
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks to minimize disruptions.
- Resolve issues quickly and efficiently, ensuring minimal impact on project timelines and quality.

About You

Your Skills
Your knowledge, skills and experience:
- At least 5+ years of project management experience, with a proven track record of successful project delivery
- Ideally your project management comes from a track record of successfully delivering projects in the IT/software/web development arenas. However, if you are a translator with a soild experience managing multi-language translation projects we would certainly welcome your application too.
- Proficiency in Agile/Scru m me thodologies, with experience as a Scrum Master preferred.
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
- Familiarity with project management tools like Jira, Trello, Asana or Monday.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
- You are fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Your written English is clear, concise, and accurate.
What’s on Offer
This is a long-term virtual role allowing you to work from home. You will work during Australian business hours i.e. your workday will fall between 7 am to 7 pm GMT+10 to ensure overlap with the rest of the team. There will be a 3-month probation period.
Base pay between USD 800 and USD 1400 per month depending on experience and skills, with a 13th-month pay in December, 20 days of paid leave, an annual allowance of USD 1000 towards Private Health Insurance and a chance to earn a performance bonus up to 3 months of salary (subject to business and personal performance).
