We are an innovative virtual Spanish program providing K-12 Spanish language education to schools and districts across the country. By delivering high-quality, interactive virtual language instruction, we empower schools to offer a robust Spanish program even when in-person language teachers aren’t available. The Technical Support Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring that partner schools enjoy seamless access to our Spanish program. This role supports all tech-related needs, including managing support tickets, troubleshooting issues within our learning management system (Buzz Agility), and assisting with program content and system configurations. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, organized, and proactive in problem-solving, with a strong interest in educational technology.

Hours: This is a part-time role, with hours from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM Eastern Time, Monday through Friday. Additional hours may become available in the future as the role expands.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support & Ticket Management:
Serve as the primary contact for technical inquiries and support requests submitted by partner schools, managing and resolving tickets in our helpdesk system.
Troubleshoot issues related to the Buzz Agility platform and other program functionalities, providing timely and effective resolutions.
Escalate complex issues to the Tech Lead or relevant tea m me mbers as necessary and ensure timely follow-up for all inquiries.
Program Development Support:
Collaborate with the Tech Lead and curriculum team to assist in building, updating, and maintaining course content, ensuring smooth functionality within Buzz Agility.
Participate in testing and quality assurance for course materials, assessments, and multimedia elements to ensure compatibility and user-friendliness across different devices and accounts.
Educator and Partner Communication:
Provide clear, user-friendly technical guidance to educators and school administrators, helping them navigate and maximize their use of the Buzz Agility platform.
Develop and maintain resources such as how-to guides, FAQs, and troubleshooting documents for common tech issues, ensuring easy access to support materials.
Platform Maintenance & Continuous Improvement:
Assist with regular system maintenance and updates, ensuring high performance and minimal downtime.
Gather feedback from educators and school partners regarding technical challenges or potential improvements, and report insights to the tech team to drive continuous platform enhancement.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education Technology, or a related field preferred. Equivalent professional experience in educational technology or tech support may be considered.
Technical Skills: Experience with learning management systems (experience with Buzz Agility is a plus), ticketing/helpdesk systems, and general troubleshooting processes.
Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information in straightforward terms to non-technical users.
Problem-Solving Abilities: Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to troubleshooting and independently resolving issues.
Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks effectively within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
