- JOB SUMMARY:
- DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepares construction schedule of the project and transmits the same to the Project Manager/Project-In-Charge to assure awareness of all the field personnel concerned;
- Develops, implements and maintains an effective scheduling management and system;
- Develops planning studies and reports in support of new and updated plans, programs and regulations;
- Reviews and/or assists in the review of development proposals and site plans for conformance to codes, plans, and regulations;
- Prepares and presents detailed reports on development proposals to government entities;
- Collects a variety of statistical data and prepares reports and maps on topics such as census information, land use, tax base data, and occupancy rates;
- Documents project scheduling processes and maintains records;
- Evaluates or assists in the evaluation of re-zoning, ordinance amendments, site plans, special use permits, variances and other proposals;
- Acts as liaison between community groups, government agencies, developers and elected official in developing neighborhood plans;
- Coordinates community review of public and private development projects;
- Provides information to the public regarding development regulations;
- Identifies potential project schedule delays and facilitates intervention in a timey manner;
- Recommends actions to keep projects within budget and completed on time;
- Inspects project sites and coordinates changes in project schedules;
- Ensures the implementation of the quality plans and objectives of the department and project; and
- Performs other related tasks that maybe assigned from time to time.
- BASIC RELATIONSHIP:
- Reports to the Senior Planner / Planning & Scheduling Supervisor.
- WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 3 to 5-year work experience as Planner in the construction industry.
- TRAINING REQUIRED:
- Computer Operations
- Primavera
- PERT CPM
- MS Projects
- OTHER SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
- Licensed Engineer (Civil Engineer)
- Good in oral and written communications
- Knowledge of computer hardware and software programs, which may include Microsoft Office, Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling techniques, MS Projects and Primavera
- Understanding of all aspects of project controls, from estimating to job close-out and job tracking
- Team player
- Work Management
- Knowledge of principles and practices of research and data collection
- Creative problem-solving skills to gather relevant information to solve vaguely defined practical problems.
