​A leading bank has an exciting opportunity for a Head of Solution Architecture to lead the strategy and development of their API platforms for their API Services Division. You will shape the bank’s API architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and seamless integration with internal and external services. This will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and implement best practices, while leading and mentoring a team of architects, engineers and BAs.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and drive the API strategy and architecture roadmap, ensuring alignment with business and technology goals.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance APIs.
  • Lead the adoption of API design standards and security best practices.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, security, and compliance teams to ensure APIs meet customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay on top of emerging trends in API technologies and fintech, evaluating their potential impact on the bank’s architecture.
  • Mentor and lead a team of architects, engineers and BAs, fostering innovation and technical excellence.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience with API design and architecture, preferably in banking or fintech.
  • More than 5 years of leadership experience in an architectural or design role.
  • Expertise in modern API technologies (REST, GraphQL, microservices, OAuth2, JWT).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of open banking standards (e.g., PSD2, OpenAPI) and security best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.

Salary: Up to PHP6M/annum (negotiable)
