I am a content creator seeking an experienced and tech-savvy Virtual Assistant to troubleshoot and optimize my audio setup for YouTube recordings. Viewers have reported sharp, high-pitched hissing sounds (especially during words with "S" and "X" sounds) that affect the audio quality in my videos. Your role will be to diagnose the cause of this issue and adjust settings to ensure clear, professional sound quality. This is a critical task, and I need someone who can identify the issue and provide a solution quickly and effectively.
Responsibilities:
Analyze my current audio setup and configurations across multiple tools, including OBS Studio, Voicemeeter, and the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 3rd Gen.
Diagnose the source of the high-pitched hissing sounds reported by viewers, particularly on sibilant sounds (words with "S" and "X").
Make precise adjustments to my audio settings in OBS Studio, Voicemeeter, and the Focusrite application to eliminate audio distortions.
Test and fine-tune filters (e.g., compressor, noise suppression, expander, de-esser) to improve audio clarity.
Provide clear, step-by-step documentation of any changes made to the setup for future reference.
Communicate effectively with me throughout the troubleshooting process, provide updates, and explain any technical concepts or choices made.
Current Equipment and Software Setup:
Microphone: Shure SM7B
Audio Interface: Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 3rd Gen USB
Recording Application: OBS Studio (filters include noise suppression, compressor, limiter, noise gate, gain, and expander)
Audio Routing Software: Voicemeeter
Requirements:
Proven experience with audio engineering, sound design, or audio troubleshooting.
In-depth knowledge of OBS Studio, Voicemeeter, and Focusrite audio interfaces.
Strong understanding of audio processing concepts, including compression, equalization, noise suppression, and de-essing.
Ability to troubleshoot technical issues with minimal supervision.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to explain technical solutions in simple terms.
Availability to work on this task promptly and efficiently, as this is a time-sensitive issue.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with YouTube or content creation audio setups.
