The Application Support Specialist provides technical support for servers, software applications, troubleshooting issues, and assisting users. This role includes maintaining software, monitoring system performance, ensuring security, and offering user training. The ideal candidate should have strong problem-solving skills, knowledge of software applications, operating systems, hardware, and experience in software development.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve technical issues.
- Maintain and update software applications.
- Monitor system performance and security.
- Assist in software development and programming.
- Create and maintain documentation.
- Ensure compliance with licensing agreements.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 7 years of experience as Application Support is required for this role
• Experience in software development and programming is a PLUS
• Working experience with SQL, PostgreSQL and PL/SQL is needed
• Knowledge of software applications, operating systems, and hardware
• Background with Python and AWS is an advantage
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
