Focus of the Role
As a Business Specialist in our Planning & Finance Reporting team, you will play a critical role in preparing and delivering a variety of month-end financial reports that drive business decisions. This includes consolidating data from multiple sources, understanding the nuances of business operations, and producing highly accurate reports on key areas such as underlying revenue, hard/soft churn, and sales made yet to bill (SMYTB). Your expertise in data modelling tools like Alteryx will enable streamlined reporting processes, ensuring timely delivery and high precision.

Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and deliver monthly reports, including but not limited to underlying revenue, hard/soft churn, and revenue from future sales etc.
• Consolidate and validate data from multiple business units, ensuring reports provide a holistic view of performance.
• Collaborate with finance, sales, and delivery teams to verify data inputs and ensure alignment with business operations.
• Utilise data modelling tools such as Alteryx to enhance report generation processes, ensuring high accuracy and efficiency.
• Conduct variance analysis between forecasted and actual data, providing insights into trends and identifying areas of opportunity.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of regular reports and provide data-driven insights for decision-making.
• Assist in automating reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention where possible.
• Present findings and insights to business stakeholders, providing actionable recommendations.
• Work cross-functionally to ensure data integrity and compliance with company policies.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in finance reporting, data analysis, or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of business operations, particularly in revenue forecasting, sales, and churn analysis.
• Experience with data modelling tools such as Alteryx or similar platforms (e.g., Knime, Lavastorm, SQL, Python).
• Advanced proficiency in Excel; familiarity with visualisation tools like Power BI or Tableau is advantageous.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy, especially when handling large datasets and working within tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and present data-driven insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and deliver timely results.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
