AML Assistant (BDO Life)

Job Summary:

The position is primarily responsible for the following:

• Documentation compliance to the Company's Anti-Monel Laundering and Terrorist Financing Prevention Program (MTPP) and Anti-Money Laundering Act requirements as part of client risk assessment.
• Ensuring service levels are monitored and met
• AML related reportorial requirements
• Ensures that documentation required for the case issuance is received for case issuance and properly filed.

Responsibilities:

• Assists in the EDD write-up of underwriters. Does research and analysis of information gathered to properly assess the person/entity being evaluated. Recommends additional document as deemed necessary and coordinates this with the assigned underwriter. Submits and refers cases to the Senior Officers of the Department for approval.
• Conducts EDD on existing clients for cases referred by compliance which have a positive match with BDO Life's client records.
• Awaits and ensures documentation compliance from the FAs are received so case can be issued.
• Handles updating of AML Watchlist as provided by Compliance Team
• Assists the Underwriting Compliance Team Leader and the Technical Underwriting Head in all reportorial and compliance reports to ensure that the required deadline is met.
• Assists in accomplishing and completing all required information and data needed for the regular compliance audit.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree of any course
• With at least one (1) of experience in life insurance operations and underwriting
• Knowledgeable in Life insurance and/or AML regulations and guidelines
• Must be keen to details and can work in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Applications
• With good verbal and written communication skills
• Willing to work onsite and be assigned in Makati or Ortigas
