Role Description

We are looking for a skilled and efficient Social Media Video Editor to join our dynamic post-production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for editing video footage in accordance with project requirements, creating compelling and engaging videos that align with our creative direction and meet the diverse needs of our clientele.

Responsibilities:

  • Edit raw video footage, incorporating stock footage, and adding Visual effects, music, sound effects, motion graphics, and seamless transitions to enhance content engagement.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in editing short-form content, similar to styles seen in creators like Ali Abdaal, Devin Jathoo, and Iman Gadzi.
  • Organize projects efficiently from start to approval and maintain well-organized video archives for future reference.

Qualifications:

  • Proven work experience as a Video Editor, with a portfolio showcasing completed projects, particularly in social media content.
  • The PC specifications should be robust enough to support smooth video editing, with components such as Intel Xeon or Ryzen processors with enough Ram and GPU!
  • Expertise in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Adobe After Effects). Proficiency in any one of these Editing software applications is required.
  • Familiarity with video retention rates, views, and post-analytic metrics, including understanding viewer behaviors like where people press the skip button, and a strong sense of pacing, timing, and storytelling in video editing.
