We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Virtual HR Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for candidates who excel in operational and administrative environments. Responsibilities may include managing a variety of HR tasks such as vetting candidates, scheduling, auditing and supporting miscellaneous HR operations to ensure smooth processes. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong analytical skills and Human Resource (HR) skills.
This role will require both video meetings as well as trainings and phone calls with the HR Manager and potentially other employees within the organization. Therefore, fluency in English with little to no grammatical errors is required for effective communication.
Responsibilities of the Virtual HR Assistant:
-Collaborate closely with the HR Manager to assist with tasks, including drafting job announcements, onboarding, terminations, and miscellaneous projects.
-Vetting and scheduling potential applicants for employment opportunities.
-Manage email correspondence with applicants and employees as well as HR email s.
-Guide the VA hiring process as needed.
-Audit onboarding and termination processes, ensuring detailed and accurate notes.
-Update and maintain referral sheet for any referral hires.
-Ensure timely handling of the I-9 verification process with the HR Manager.
-Address employee benefits questions in collaboration with the HR Manager.
-Assist with miscellaneous HR administration tasks, including company policies and regulations that may arise.
-Audit performance reviews, ensuring proper documentation in Google Sheets.
-Respond to employee inquiries via email and Slack regarding HR-related questions.
- Help in maintaining accurate records of employee files and sensitive HR materials.
-Other general duties as assigned or needed.

Schedule: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM EDT/EST (GMT-5), including a 1-hour unpaid lunch break

Compensation:
Starts at $6 per hour
Qualifications:
-Proven work experience, ideally in HR or similar administrative roles (2+ years preferred).
-Any knowledge of employment law including EEO, ADEA, ADA, Equal Pay Act, and IRCA, is a plus but not required.
-Experience with any HRIS software (e.g., BambooHR is a bonus).
-Prior night shift experience (required).
-Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
-Strong command and high level of proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal.
-Excellent time management, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
-Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
-Detail-oriented with critical thinking capabilities.
-HR and recruiting experience is a plus
