* Based on the Major Project Team and reporting to the Project Manager and supervising the execution of electrical construction work on site.
* Perform the duties of the Owner’s Engineer as Material Receiving Superintendent on site in accordance with the Construction Contract.
* Acts as the prime point of contact with the client for the electrical construction supervision aspects of the project, including progress reporting, safety, financial recommendations, quality control, and design modifications.
* Builds a trusted relationship with the Project Manager, the Client, and the Contractor's counterpart staff.
* Place emphasis on safe construction practices (Target Zero) and on maintaining a high quality of construction - leads by example in driving safe practices on site.
* Use effective Project Management and Control Systems to report on the work progress to the Project Manager.
* Monitors the progress of construction against the program and takes steps to ensure the program is achieved.
* Ensures that the project quality control procedures are used for the supervision works and monitors it for improvement. Cooperates with audits required in accordance with the contract requirements and company internal systems.
* Review and comment on the Contractor's method statement indicating his proposed timing and phasing of various operations.
* Defines the scope of work of any sub-consultants and ensures that their employment is effectively administered.
* Identifies software and systems required for the administration of the project construction supervision.
* Review and audit any contractual claims raised by the Contractor for review and approval by the Employer.
* Contributes to the safety and build-ability reviews of the proposed designs.
* Evaluates, selects, and adapts construction management and control techniques, procedures, and criteria to suit job tasks, and devises and implements solutions to problems encountered.
* Ensures that the Construction Supervision team members effectively identify, manage, and report project risks.
* To attend regular site meetings to review the completion of works by the contractor against the program and agreed performance objectives.
* To oversee the implementation of the works by the contractor to include areas covering contractual, commercial, and technical matters relating to the works.
* Mentors’ junior members of the team.
* Acts as the focal point of contact between the office-based and site-based teams.
* Responsible for all Electrical including Grounding, HV, MV, LV Cables pulling, dressing, laying and termination, Conduits, Cable trays, Switches, Data & Communication system etc.
* Minimum 10 years’ experience as an Material Receiving Superintendent within the Power Plant sector.
* Experience in Electrical Inspections for Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
* Strong communication and documentation skills.
* Familiar & Implementation of international standards such as ASTM, IEC, NEC, NFPA, etc.
* Willingness to travel and work on-site as required.
