About the role
As a Business Development Manager - Site Selection and Acquisition, you will play a pivotal role in driving the expansion of Abenson Group. This full-time position will see you identifying and securing new business locations that align with the company's strategic growth objectives.
What you'll be doing
• Conducting comprehensive market research to identify prime locations for new sites
• Evaluating potential properties and negotiating favourable lease or purchase terms
• Collaborating cross-functionally with the real estate, operations, and finance teams to evaluate site feasibility and secure approvals
• Providing regular updates and recommendations to senior leadership on the company's expansion strategy
What we're looking for
• Minimum 3 years of experience in business development, site selection, or commercial real estate
• Proven track record of successfully identifying, acquiring, and operationalising new business locations
• In-depth understanding of the local real estate market, zoning laws, and commercial leasing practices
• Excellent analytical and negotiation skills, with the ability to evaluate financial data and secure favourable terms
• Strong project management capabilities to coordinate the end-to-end site selection and acquisition process
• Familiarity with the retail or hospitality industry would be advantageous
