  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

With a workforce of over 8,000 merchandisers deployed across major supermarket chains, modern trade, and general trade accounts nationwide, SMCIMSI plays a crucial role in supporting SMC’s diverse business units.

Since 2019, we have managed the merchandising requirements of San Miguel Foods (Protein & Animal Nutrition Business and Prepared & Packaged Foods). In September 2022, we expanded our operations to handle Ginebra San Miguel Inc.'s merchandising in the Visayas region. Plans are underway to extend our coverage to San Miguel Brewery, SMYPC Wine Brothers, and additional areas for Ginebra San Miguel Inc.

Finance Assistant

Role Overview

We are looking for a Finance Assistant to join our team. The role involves reconciliation, analysis, and validation of financial accounts, ensuring compliance with financial reporting policies and deadlines. The Finance Assistant will report directly to the Finance Supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Management Accounting, or any business course majoring in Accounting.
  • Experience: At least one (1) year of experience in a finance-related role.

Skills:

  • Background in General Accounting.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications with strong multitasking abilities.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data for tax and compliance purposes.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing entries.
  • Process payroll entries and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare the weekly cash position report.
  • Reconcile general and subsidiary ledgers.
  • Ensure the validity and accuracy of the balance sheet.
  • Assist in internal and external audits.
  • Serve as Vendor and Customer Master Data Custodian.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
