Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage, research, and write internal news content on behalf of the international consulting arm;
- Research and write engaging project briefs (requires turning key aspects and results of detailed reports into briefs comprehensible to a general audience), news items, and impact stories from around the globe;
- Interview project managers, team leaders, experts, clients or beneficiaries to produce impact stories on NIRAS-implemented projects;
- Liaise with our project managers for internal and external communications;
- Proofread or edit reports and other knowledge products written in English;
- Occasionally support content creation for our social media (i.e., LinkedIn).
Requirements
- With an educational background or experience in journalism, development communications, marketing, or literature;
- 1-3 years of work experience. Fresh graduates are welcome;
- Highly proficient in written and spoken English;
- Having initiative is a must. We are looking for an independent and self-motivated worker who can collaborate with a global team, meet deadlines, and deliver fast turnaround when needed;
- Ability and openness to work with foreign language speakers within a multi-cultural organization;
- A love for good (and accurate!) storytelling.
Preferred but not required
- Proficiency in social media management;
- Experience in transcribing or writing scripts for videos;
- Basic knowledge about implementing a communications strategy or marketing campaign.
Note: A trade test will be conducted as part of the recruitment process to assess technical skills and qualifications.
