CLIENT BACKGROUND
Our client-partner is a tax and accounting firm that started in 2012 and is based in the US. Their goal is to help investors and small businesses succeed by providing financial insight and advice tailored to your goals. They add value by providing customized tax plans to match your circumstances and execute and maintain those plans for you throughout the year. They are results-driven and always act with integrity. That means they do their best to make sure you have the best outcome but always do what’s right and within the law.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform general accounting duties, including maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage and reconcile credit card transactions to ensure accuracy and accountability in financial reporting.
- Prepare and provide timely and accurate financial statements for review by management and stakeholders.
- Oversee the accounting for fixed assets, including acquisition, depreciation, and disposals, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
- Manage and record accrual entries, ensuring proper timing and matching of revenues and expenses.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring accuracy in reporting and compliance with accounting policies.
- Conduct payroll reconciliation to ensure accuracy in payroll processing and compliance with applicable laws.
- Prepare and manage sales tax filings and reconciliations, ensuring compliance with state and local tax regulations as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree holder in Accounting or any related field
- At least 3-5 years of accounting experience in U.S. companies (experience in both private and public practice is highly desirable).
- Prior experience with payroll reconciliation, inventory management, and sales tax is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software, particularly QuickBooks Online (QBO), Bill.com, Xero, Paycheck, and Slack.
- QBO certification is a highly advantageous qualification.
- Tech-savvy, with advanced skills in Excel (including VLOOKUP and macros) for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
