About The Role

Supporting Canon’s market offering, the Logistics Department is responsible for Canon Australia/Canon New Zealand Logistics function encompassing National 3PL Operations, Import, Export, Inventory, and the management of the national distribution of Canon Australia/New Zealand’s merchandise and spare parts.

Essential Duties

  • Support Logistics and Transport managers in relation to key Logistics activities.
  • Develop ad hoc reporting and stakeholder communication as required by Logistics managers/ process lead.
  • Provide support to internal and external customers by answering queries, develop solutions to any issues/concerns and action accordingly based on the request.
  • Investigate, coordinate and raise all appropriate documentation for Canon Australia/NZ insurance claim.
  • Assist in providing documentation required to meet Canon’s audit requirements for all company audits.
  • Review and process supplier invoices for payment processing.
  • Prepare reports such as insurance claim report, delivery status update, accrual, GLC reporting, export shipping report, daily shipment update, weekly update and other reports needed.
  • Proactively contribute to process improvement in relation to set objectives and provide value-added inputs into the organisation’s business processes.
  • Provide the details needed for local reporting requirements.

Import/Export (CA/CNZ)

  • Prepare and send all the documents needed for the shipment
  • Quote Request if needed
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders/carrier/shipping line for the pick-up/delivery.
  • Assist with the internal and external customer queries and request
  • Update the system and monitoring file with the shipment status.

Inventory (CA/CNZ)

  • The role is responsible for ensuring that Canon Australia’s/NZ’s inventory management and controls satisfy Canon Inc’s own requirements and policies. This includes:
  • Ensuring stock reconciliation will comply with both internal and external audit requirements
  • Stock transfers between warehouses
  • Coordination and completion of branch warehouse orders
  • Branch warehouse stock review and disposal
  • Creation of write off orders
  • Monitor and coordinate system errors in WMS/ERP
  • Stock adjustment/status change
  • Door to door invoicing
  • Urgent shipment coordination
  • Assist DHL/internal customer with inventory related queries/ request
  • Perform monthly task such as open RMA/PO Check/Surplus adjustment/ Non CINC 3rd party PO Invoice checking.
  • Can break down a problem, situation or process into its component parts; separates the main issues from side-issues and understands the nature of parts and their relationship to one another
  • Has the ability to work effectively and seamlessly delivering results without being closely managed

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s/College Degree in Inventory Control and Supply Chain or equivalent
  • Strong data management and maintenance skills
  • Ability to interpret/ analyze data and make appropriate decisions to execute daily task
  • Experience in Inventory management, export and import handling.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Advanced computer skills, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, Access
  • Outstanding time management and prioritization skills
  • AX Inventory knowledge is desired
  • Good rapport with internal and external customers.
  • Has the ability to work effectively and seamlessly delivering results without being closely managed
