Job Description
The Electrical Maintenance Specialist is responsible for diagnosing electrical issues and ensuring that all the Land Based Equipment (LBE) including the heavy equipment, big trucks and forwarding trucks, operates safely and according to standards and ensures the equipments availability. The incumbent implements electrical maintenance schedules, conducts advanced and complex electrical troubleshooting and repair programs, and collaborates with technicians in conducting these troubleshooting, repair and maintenance.

Job Responsibilities:
Advance Equipment Maintenance.
Ensure to conduct advanced or complex electrical maintenance activities to achieve land based equipments longevity, reliability and optimal performance.
- Inspects units and equipment and collaborates with the Maintenance Planner, Maintenance Engineer and Maintenance Supervisor for the checklist for repair.
- Utilize electrical maintenance technologies such as Onboard Diagnostics (OBD), sensors, condition monitoring, and data analytics to identify equipment failures.
- Establish condition-based monitoring programs for critical electrical equipment and regularly inspect and test electrical components to assess their condition.
- Apply Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) principles to all the electrical equipment in LBE to determine the most critical electrical equipment and the appropriate maintenance strategies for each equipment.
- Conduct investigations when electrical equipment failures occur to identify the underlying causes and implement corrective actions to prevent the recurrence of similar issues.
- Implement a comprehensive health management program to all electrical assets which includes regular inspections, testing, and monitoring.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Engineer and Supervisor in monitoring of electrical spare parts inventory and ensuring that critical components are readily available.
- Regularly review and refine electrical maintenance procedures based on performance data and feedback
- Provide training and guidance to electrical technicians to ensure their proficiency in the latest maintenance techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures.
- Ensure that all electrical maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and industry standards
- Candidates must have a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or other related field.
- Registered Electrical Engineering (REE) or Registered Master Electrician (RME) is an advantage.
