The Programmatic Advertising Manager will be responsible for the achievement of the programmatic ad revenue target, recommend and implement programmatic advertising strategies to achieve target and manage the Ad Operations team. He/she will be integral in driving revenue growth through programmatic ad networks, real time bidding (RTB) and private marketplace (PMP) including negotiating contracts with ad network partners to secure the best deal for Inquirer.net, maximizing ad inventory monetization and working in coordination with Sales in relation to direct programmatic to ensure maximum yield for advertising inventory.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Revenue Target Achievement

a. Meet and exceed revenue targets through direct and programmatic advertising initiatives.

b. Develop and execute a strategies and action plans to achieve programmatic advertising revenue target.

c. Identify new areas/opportunities for programmatic revenue growth.

2. Ad Network and Account Management

a. Negotiate and secure programmatic advertising deals to maximize yield and efficiency.

b. Serve as the primary point of contact for programmatic advertisers, ensuring maximum yield for the site’s advertising inventory and client satisfaction.

c. Reviews contracts with ad networks to ensure that the company gets the best deal.

d. Conducts regular review of ad network partners to ensure that they are delivering performance expectations and if not, replace them with new ad network partners.

e. Build and maintain stable relationships with ad network partners, agencies and other clients.

3. Ad Inventory

a. Optimize ad inventory and revenue streams through programmatic direct, private marketplace deals and header bidding.

b. Collaborate with internal teams to enhance the effectiveness of programmatic offerings.

c. Monitor and analyze inventory performance to identify revenue opportunities.

4. Programmatic Campaign Management

a. Oversee the execution, monitoring and optimization of programmatic advertising campaigns.

b. Evaluate campaign delivery and performance issues.

c. Utilize data-driven insights to refine programmatic strategies and maximize return on investment.

5. Team Management

a. Lead, mentor, and manage the Programmatic Advertising Specialists to achieve business goals.

b. Provide guidance on best practices, emerging trends, and innovative programmatic strategies.

c. Foster a high-performance team focused on continuous improvement and revenue growth.

6. Performs other related tasks that may be assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in programmatic advertising sales or digital media sales, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong knowledge of programmatic platforms, DSPs, SSPs, ad exchanges, data management platforms (DMPs).
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and optimize programmatic performance.
  • Leadership experience, including managing and mentoring team members.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to industry changes.
