Head of Treasury (based in Singapore)
Client: A leading full-service universal bank in the Philippines
Work Location: Singapore (already based in SG / willing to relocate to SG)
Job Description & Requirements:
The Treasury Head is primarily responsible for the overall targets of the Singapore Treasury Group. Also responsible as Securities and FX Trader in managing the Branch’s foreign currency denominated securities portfolio and the achievement of desired goals in portfolio mix quality, yield and profitability. He/She is also responsible for taking and managing proprietary positions in the foreign exchange market and is also responsible as Liquidity Trader for the reconciliation and management of the branch’s foreign currency-denominated nostro accounts.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Securities and FX Portfolio and Liquidity Management.
- Takes position in foreign currency-denominated sovereign/corporate securities to maximize the returns of the portfolio based on the house view.
- Analyzes market conditions using the fundamental and technical indicators and provide analysis/update to management, clients and concerned units.
- Ensures timely and accurate capture of all done transactions in the applicable trading platform.
- Monitors the balances of the nostro accounts and ensures that minimum required balances are maintained on a daily basis.
- Executes interbank lending/borrowing and/or foreign exchange swaps.
- Must be able to operate within agreed parameters set in Assets and Liabilities Committee (ALCO) policies and guidelines to maintain the statutory, operational and stress liquidity targets and ratios at all times.
- Must have excellent knowledge of treasury products, treasury systems and procedures, strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills and business development skills, and understand the investment needs of the Singapore and Philippine market.
- Attends to administrative-related matters such as preparation of various reportorial requirements both regulatory and for treasury meetings.
- Performs other duties assigned from time to time.
