Job Description

As a Bookkeeper for this innovative financial portfolio, you’ll be instrumental in managing a diverse range of financial activities. Your expertise in QuickBooks Online will be put to the test as you handle multiple income streams, including rental properties, personal finances, and a burgeoning trading platform. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with complex financial structures, including trust accounts and a soon-to-be-established self-managed super fund. You’ll be responsible for ensuring accurate, up-to-date financial records across various business entities, making you an integral part of the client’s financial success. Responsibilities

  • Master the intricacies of QuickBooks Online to manage multiple income streams efficiently
  • Reconcile bank statements and meticulously categorize transactions for various business entities
  • Oversee bookkeeping for five rental properties, ensuring accurate tracking of income and expenses
  • Play a key role in setting up and maintaining a self-managed super fund, adhering to Australian regulations
  • Manage three trust accounts, ensuring compliance and accurate reporting
  • Update and maintain financial records for current and previous fiscal years, including clearing a backlog from 2022-2024
  • Prepare comprehensive financial data for tax return purposes, collaborating with external accountants when necessary
  • Assist in financial planning and analysis for the newly launched trading platform
  • Ensure strict compliance with Australian accounting standards and tax regulations
  • Provide regular, insightful updates on financial status and progress to the client

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in QuickBooks Online, with the ability to navigate complex financial structures
  • Strong understanding of Australian tax laws, accounting principles, and financial regulations
  • Demonstrated experience in trust accounting and familiarity with self-managed super funds
  • Proficiency in managing investment property accounting and multiple income streams
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a track record of maintaining high accuracy in financial records
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly
