Job Description

Leadership, Management Systems & Reporting

  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of technical professionals to ensure high performance and compliance with industry standards
  • Provide technical guidance and training to team members on ISO standards, safety systems, environmental management, and quality control
  • Drive a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence within the team
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, standards, and legislative requirements
  • Work with key stakeholders to develop policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance system performance
  • Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage documentation, reporting, and record-keeping related to quality, safety, and environmental management.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations on system performance and improvement strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with management and operational teams to ensure alignment on compliance and safety initiatives.

Safety & Environmental Management

  • Oversee workplace safety programs, ensuring alignment with ISO 45001 and occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Promote and enforce best practices in environmental management in line with ISO 14001
  • Investigate incidents, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement in workplace safety
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance sustainability and environmental compliance

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in project management, Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in technical leadership roles, with a focus on ISO standards, safety, environmental management, and quality systems.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 requirements and implementation.
  • Experience conducting internal audits and managing compliance programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage projects, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and data management tools related to compliance, safety, and quality management.

Advantageous Experience

  • Lead Auditor Certification in ISO 9001, 14001, or 45001.
  • Experience in risk assessment, incident investigation, and corrective action implementation.
  • Knowledge of sustainability practices and environmental impact assessment.
