Position Overview

The Entity Chief of Staff of Deutsche Bank works closely with the delivery hub lead, businesses and across partners in infrastructure positions, in order to incorporate the Banks strategy and to align resource allocation.

The Entity CFO ensures all transactions of the entity, its financial position, and performance are correctly reported on a timely basis. Your role involves oversight and ultimate escalation point of contact of the Entity’s finance and tax processes that include all financial reporting for Head Office and Local Regulatory Reporting including Statutory Accounts, and local tax compliance, among others. You will perform quality assurance and approvals on reports submitted by the Accounting Close teams.

Infrastructure Site CFO & COS

The combined role of DKS CFO and Chief of Staff is a senior leadership role that will represent DKS and Finance Manila in many forums both internally and externally.

Site CFO

• In scope as well to this role shall be ensuring that the entity is operating on a cost optimized basis with a consistent and integrated agenda/approach, ensuring adherence to organizations Corporate Governance requirements/standards and objectives, and driving multiple projects and initiatives as required for the entity.

• Management Reporting to Local Management and the Board of Directors

• You will Represents DKS in official interactions with local government/regulatory agencies
• Bureau of Internal Revenue
• Court of Tax Appeals
• Securities and Exchange Commission
• Board of Investments
• Responsible for Liquidity, FX and funding management for the entity
• Accountable for the accounting and related functions for the entity such as procurement, transfer pricing, and cost accounting
  
  

Site Chief of Staff

• You will be responsible for communicating the Bank/Division strategy, plans and values, and ensuring understanding and alignment within the entity/division and drive a high performance culture. You will also be expected to create and reinforce an environment where people management and development is a key priority.
• In this capacity you will ensure the escalation of entity related issues to DKS Board and ensure the escalation of infrastructure related issues to DKS Exco.
• You will also be accountable for the optimization of infrastructure operations for the entity, and oversee the following teams working with their functional leads within Infrastructure: Communication*, Global Procurement, Corporate Services, Corporate Security.
• As the Site COS, you will also act as the Deputy Crisis Manager during a crisis affecting DKS- and chair the Gold Crisis Management Team responsible for the approval of DKS response strategy, strategic leadership and decision making for respective functions in times of crisis.
• You will need to be a senior representative of DKS in addition to the DKS Site lead to the local regulator, other main local stakeholders, and the local market, including act as Resident Agent.
• You will support expansion of the site in terms of marketing the site and ensuring proper infrastructure support and set up are in place for new functions and roles.
• You will provide local oversight to DKS COO teams and ensure alignment with Finance COO and other COO teams (as applicable) locally
• You will be responsible for the optimization of business and infrastructure operations for Finance Manila around operational services, control aspect and risk and performance.
• You will also be accountable for translating strategy into an operational plan for delivery and provides oversight and guidance to ensure effective implementation, and ensuring that the appropriate policies, processes and resources are in place as well as an appropriate management of risk across the Division.
• You will have to provide reporting/analysis, including headcount and financial monitoring, annual planning and forecasts and review the business performance, directing appropriate interventions to address and meet changing stakeholder needs and market trends.
• In this function you will need to support the Global COS in the annual budgeting process and ongoing monthly reforecasting, owns, manage and executes multiple projects and initiatives within the Finance Manila function.
• You will need to be a BCM partner for Finance COO Manila, develop and foster key relationships within their business / product line and sponsors / actively promotes an environment of personal development and continuous improvement.
  
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

For this requirement,

• you will need to have a Bachelor Degree from a relevant degree, and have an establish track record in managing senior roles with the same function. Preferably:
• Certified Public Accountant
• At least 15 years total experience in finance and/or accounting fields
• At least 5 years experience directly in controllership functions
• Experience within the Finance and Accounting Teams of shared services
• It would be preferred but not required, if you are knowledgeable about DB Finance functions as well. You will need to have a high level of expertise in financial performance management, analysis and problem solving.
• You will need to possess excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• You will need to be an excellent team leader, and be capable of working in virtual global teams in a matrix organization.
• You need to be able to work in fast paced environment, be open minded, and able to share information, transfer knowledge and expertise to team members.
• Imperative as well shall be being able to keep pace with technical / operational innovation and maintain and understanding of the business offering.
