The Business Analyst drives data-informed decisions for existing business units and new ventures by analyzing performance, market trends, and competitive landscapes. Develops reports, provides insights, and supports strategic planning.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Performance Analysis: Analyze the performance of existing business units, identifying key trends, areas of strength and weakness, and opportunities for improvement. Develop reports and dashboards to track KPIs and communicate performance insights to stakeholders.
- Data-Driven Insights: Translate complex data into clear and actionable insights that can be used to inform strategic decisions. Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and growth based on data analysis.
- Market Research & Competitive Analysis: Conduct market research to identify market trends, customer needs, and potential market segments. Analyze competitor activities, pricing strategies, and market share to inform competitive positioning and strategic decision-making for both existing and new ventures.
- Strategic Planning Support: Provide data-driven insights to support the development of strategic plans for existing business units and new business ventures. Contribute to the identification of key trends and opportunities.
- Reporting & Visualization: Develop and maintain clear and concise reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate data insights to stakeholders. Visualize data effectively to facilitate understanding and decision-making.
- New Venture Support: Contribute to the evaluation of new venture opportunities by providing data analysis, market sizing, and competitive landscape assessments. Support the development of business cases for new initiatives.
- Collaboration: Work closely with business unit leaders, marketing, sales, and other relevant teams to understand business needs and provide data-driven solutions.
- Ad-hoc Analysis: Conduct ad-hoc analysis to answer specific business questions and support strategic initiatives across the organization.
- Other Duties: Other duties and tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
- Graduate of a Bachelor’s/College degree of any business course.
- At least 5 to 7 years experience in business intelligence and/or data analysis.
- Advanced Knowledge in Spreadsheet Software (Google Sheet / Excel): Advanced Google Sheet / Excel skills are essential (e.g., pivot tables, formulas, macros, data analysis tools).
- Knowledgeable in analyzing data, identifying patterns, and developing solutions.
- Knowledgeable in understanding business principles, financial statements, and market dynamics.
