Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide Consulting/Expertise on Compensation-related Topics
- Maintain knowledge of current best practices in the compensation field (e.g., theories, frameworks, technologies, and trends) as they relate to India based employee populations
- Provide ongoing consulting and collaboration with/to businesses, Human Capital, Total Rewards, Finance and other supporting partners to champion/ensure that variable compensation philosophy and best practices are integrated into Human Capital activities and broader business strategy
- Provide training and education on variable compensation-related policies/tools/processes/issues to applicable audiences
- Develop ongoing communications to ensure awareness/understanding of variable compensation programs, tools and changes for applicable audiences
- Provide recommendations to support development/revision and standardization of variable compensation strategies
- Provide project management leadership/support for projects related to global variable compensation
- Incorporate industry best practices into variable compensation program design
- Ensure that an enterprise-wide perspective is applied across job families/functions when providing consulting/expertise
- Identify and remediate non-standard financial incentives
- Support centralization of global QVC programs
- Design/Develop/Manage/Support Variable Compensation Programs/Policies
- Develop framework and guidelines for variable compensation programs across India & the Philippines
- Manage/support variable compensation program renewals and approvals
- Design/update incentive plans
- Ensure compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements specific to India & the Philippines
- Demonstrate understanding of financial issues impacting compensation programs (e.g., ROI, CBA)
- Conduct ROI, CBA, etc. analyses
- Sunset variable compensation programs/policies, as needed
- Support effort to align existing QVC programs to Global Capability initiatives and best practices
- Gather/Analyze/Utilize Compensation-related Data
- Partner with business leaders, Human Capital, and Total rewards to conduct assessment of existing variable compensation programs
- Lead salary/budget surveys
- Conduct market analyses and apply market data as appropriate to support variable compensation decisions
- Utilize compensation-related data to support design and administration of variable compensation programs
- Identify discrepancies from market data (e.g., variance to market analysis)
- Ensure that an enterprise-wide perspective is used across job families/functions when utilizing/analyzing compensation-related data
- Conduct Reporting/Analysis of Compensation Projects/Data
- Provide incentive/spending reports to applicable stakeholders
- Utilize appropriate systems/tools to manage/analyze/report variable compensation data
- Manage/support auditing activities
- Analyze variable compensation data to identify root causes/trends/issues, and respond appropriately
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (Human Resources or Business Management preferred)
- 3+ years HR experience (Compensation, Payroll, or Employee Relations domains preferred)
- 3+ years business experience with the ability to design and build moderately complex business/analytical models and the ability to effectively communicate analyses and/or recommendations with stakeholders
- Proficient with a variety of software, including Microsoft Office programs (Excel proficiency a must)
- Proven exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- CCP/HRM Certification (or local geo equivalent)
- Experience administering variable incentive compensation plans
- Experience working in a highly matrixed organization
- Experience working with Incentive Compensation Management/HR Systems (Varicent preferred)
