The Sales Manager is responsible for managing key accounts, driving growth within existing client portfolios, and generating new business opportunities. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Account Management & Business Development
  • Manage, grow, and develop existing key accounts and distributor relationships.
  • Identify and establish contact with potential clients and proactively seek new business leads.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through regular interactions via visits, calls, and emails.
  • Respond promptly to sales inquiries and provide accurate quotations to customers.
  • Inform clients about product updates, developments, and promotional campaigns.
  • Equip yourself with comprehensive product knowledge to address customer queries confidently.
  • Advise customers on product handling and safety.

  • Revenue Growth: Achieve or exceed quarterly and annual sales revenue targets.

2.Strategic Commercial Execution

  • Conduct market surveys to anticipate customer needs and validate the company’s product offerings.
  • Provide continuous feedback on market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
  • Collaborate with product development and research teams to identify new opportunities for innovation.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, identifying areas for improvement.

3.Trade Marketing & Brand Activation

  • Develop and execute trade marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and market share.
  • Plan and implement in-store promotions, merchandising activities, and retail execution plans.
  • Coordinate with marketing teams to align trade marketing efforts with brand campaigns.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of trade promotions and recommend adjustments to improve ROI.
  • Ensure the correct placement of POS materials and promotional displays at retail locations.
  • Build strong relationships with retailers and distributors to maximize promotional effectiveness.

  • Market Share Growth: Increase in brand visibility and market share within assigned territories.
  • Brand Activation Success: Engagement and conversion rates from trade marketing campaigns.

4.Revenue and Credit Management

  • Achieve revenue, profitability, and payment collection targets across assigned accounts.
  • Drive timely payment collection, ensuring compliance with credit management policies.
  • Monitor customer credit limits and ensure alignment with business targets.

  • Payment Collection: Meet payment collection targets and ensure minimal overdue accounts.

5.People Leadership & Performance Management

  • Define roles and responsibilities within the sales team and set clear objectives.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to support the professional development of team members.

Job Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in sales, account management, or business development, preferably within the nutrition, FMCG, or consumer goods sector.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven experience managing sales teams and driving performance improvements.
  • Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of market trends and customer behavior in the relevant industry.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret sales data and generate actionable insights.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
