We are looking for a Credit Analyst to provide high-quality and consistent credit analysis and recommendations for new and existing customers and prospects in accordance with the Finstro’s policies and procedures. To help assess and analyse credit data and financial statements to determine the risk of lending to businesses or companies, assisting in decision-making related to extending credit.

The role involves working within the delegated lending authority limits, assisting with loan approvals, and supporting senior analysts or managers in assessing higher-risk or complex credit applications.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant documents to assess the creditworthiness of applicants.
  • Process client applications, queries and challenges posed by Business Development Managers, Account Managers & Referral Partners.
  • Ensure that all credit decisions are made within the company's policies and the delegated lending authority limits.
  • Review and interpret financial statements as part of a loan application, which includes bank statements, payslips, government benefits and other financial records to validate business income and expenses.
  • Present findings to senior analysts or managers for further review or approval.
  • Work closely with senior credit analysts, underwriters, and other departments to ensure accurate and efficient processing of credit applications.
  • Create feedback loop with Credit Team Lead to identify and address trends in high-risk client applications and transaction management.
  • Other duties assigned by direct manager.

Position Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's/College Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent preferred
  • At least 2-3 Year(s) of working experience in Banking/Financial Services is required for this position specialising in fraud analysis, loan applications and credit analysis.
  • Experience within SME credit assessment for Cashflow Finance and/or Equipment Finance
  • Advanced interpersonal skills and the willingness to have difficult conversations with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Understanding of Equifax and/or other Credit Bureau standards and procedures.
  • Experience working for an Australian or any financial institution, an advantage.
  • Ability to write credit proposals that serve the interest of all parties involved.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to proficiently manage multiple tasks at the same time.

The role will be based out of our office in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig in a hybrid work set up.
