The Resource Specialist is a resource management and workforce planning specialist who activate the day to day operations of the resourcing function. Their role is to ensure we maximize business performance and deliver on our talent promise through proactive management of their talent pool. This is obtained by;

  • Allocating the right people, to the right role, at the right time
  • Supporting project demand prioritisation and supply augmentation
  • Identifying and providing insight with regards to workforce planning and skills, capability and trends

The Resource Specialist is part of the regional resourcing team and acts as the key contact for the talent pool’s strategic resource allocation and capacity management.

The Resource Specialist uses their specialist knowledge and relationships to ensure we maximize productivity and develop our talent through their on-the-job experiences.

Core Responsibilities

Winning in the Market

  • Stakeholder Management – Responsible for managing key relationships within the talent pool
  • Pipeline & Demand management – Ensuring direct connectivity between pursuits teams and the resource manager

High Performing Team

  • Team Management – attend regional meetings, gather regular feedback, be involved in regional and area project initiatives, build relationships with other internal functions (recruitment, HRBP, learning)
  • Experience Management – speak with Talent pool about desired experiences, identify opportunities to develop staff through experience, support Experience Management initiatives.

Operations

  • Talent pool management & resource optimization – Actively managing bench, available capacity by understanding capability and proactively identifying opportunities for all available resources
  • Resource optimization – Highlighting capability outside the home talent pool via cross-functional, cross-border or cross-region allocation to maximize productivity
  • Experience management – Promoting identification and delivery of career experiences as part of every engagement
  • Continuous improvement – Supporting roll out of initiatives on behalf of the resourcing leader and identifying opportunities to improve team performance.

Quality

Leakage management and data quality – Ensuring ubiquitous and effective use of key enablers and data quality that supports rapid decisions

Other Tasks

Retain Booking (monitor forecast update and accuracy)

New Joiners Onboarding (schedule, completion of checklist, welcome email)

Monitoring of compliance (Discover Profile, MyCareer Hub, other mandatory eLearnings)

Review of Internal code specific to Temporary Parking code activities.

Consulting KPI Dashboard Updates (MTS, Util%, MCH, Retain)

Initiate Time Transfer request for recovery of hours for processing

Consulting email group IDs update
