Philippines Based Fieldwork Assistant (Telephone Interviewing experiences required)

The Asia based Fieldwork Assistants will work as part of the Digital Research department, reporting to management team based in Hong Kong. The Asia based Fieldwork Assistants will collaborate closely with digital Research colleagues in Asia on a daily basis (Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia and other regions). The Fieldwork Assistants supports the execution of fieldwork activities for digital research projects, and assists digital researchers to ensure the smooth operation of fieldwork. The Fieldwork Assistants are expected to conduct screening calls and telephone interviews to gather respondents’ opinions and preferences. The Fieldwork Assistants are also expected to conduct desk research to identify suitable potential respondents for different projects.
The Fieldwork Assistants will engage with respondents located in North America as well as in Asia, and will be expected to work during shifts that can best fit in with the core business hours of the target markets. Night shift work and flexibility in working hours is essential to this position.
Core duties:
Gain a full understanding of the needs and relevant profiles of each research project;
- Conduct outbound telephone interviews, surveys, and in-depth interviews according to established protocols and guidelines;
- Conduct screening calls with potential respondents;
Supports research projects by conducting desk research and sending out invitations;
- Engage respondents in a friendly and professional manner to encourage participation and accurate responses;
- Engage with respondents and stakeholders to facilitate effective data collection, as required;
- Record responses accurately and efficiently using provided software or data collection tools;
- Understand and communicate the purpose of the survey to respondents effectively;
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with ethical standards in data collection;
- Follow up with respondents if necessary and complete any follow-up calls as required;
- Report any issues encountered during calls to management for resolution;
- Stay updated on company products and services to answer any questions from respondents;
- Maintain full records of work progress on each project;
- Communicate regularly with other members in digital research departments;
- Report the progress to Digital Supervisors and Digital managers on assigned projects on the regular basis;
- Carry out project related admin tasks where necessary;
- Adhere to RONIN's market research quality procedures;
- Gain a good understanding of the market research process and of confidentiality requirements relating to GDPR and trade organisation best practice, including processes and procedures relating to RONIN’s certification to ISO 20252, ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus.
- Perform to the expected quality requirements.
Qualifications required:
- High school diploma (or equivalent) and above
- Previous experience as market research telephone interviewer is required
Language Skill requirements:
English – fluent level for spoken English; Professional level for written English
Essential skills needed for the role:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling;
- Proficiency in using basic computer software and mobile data collection tool;.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively;
- Basic understanding of research methodologies and data collection techniques;
Location Details: Remote work
- To start with, Fieldwork Assistants are expected to work remotely using their own laptops, by connecting to RONIN remote servers.
- Fieldwork Assistants are expected to work in an approved home-working environment that can meet the minimum requirements.
- Office based work / Hybrid work may become an option at a later stage.
Working Hours:
- The Fieldwork Assistants will engage with respondents located in North America as well as in Asia, and will be expected to work during shifts that can best fit in with the core business hours of the target markets. Night shift work and flexibility in working hours is essential to this position.
- According to the needs of the projects, training program, and international team collaboration, you may also be required to work during different shifts. You will need to work during hours considered suitable by your line manager.
- Typical working hours: 3AM PHT – 12PM PHT Monday to Friday
