The Qualifications We Seek

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in data engineering or a related role.
  • Proven experience in data migration and integration projects.
  • Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala for data pipeline development.
  • Expertise in ETL/ELT tools (Apache Airflow, AWS Glue, or Talend).
  • Strong knowledge of AWS (S3, Redshift, RDS, Lambda) or other cloud platforms.
  • Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and non-relational (MongoDB, DynamoDB) databases.
  • Experience in API development (GraphQL, RESTful services).
  • Version control proficiency using Git and Bitbucket.

Your Daily Tasks

Data Migration:

  • Design and execute data migration processes to transfer data from legacy systems to new architectures.

Data Centralization & Optimization:

  • Develop and refine data pipelines and workflows to centralize data from various sources for efficient storage and retrieval.

Database Communication Layer Development:

  • Build and maintain robust service-level APIs or middleware for seamless database interaction, including GraphQL endpoints where applicable.

Collaboration:

  • Partner with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to define data requirements and implement effective solutions.

Data Quality Assurance:

  • Maintain data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across the organization.

Documentation:

  • Develop and update comprehensive technical documentation for data processes, pipelines, and architecture.
