We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist with expertise in ADP payroll systems to manage end-to-end payroll processing for our organization. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance with applicable laws, and resolve payroll-related issues efficiently. The Payroll Specialist will work closely with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure smooth payroll operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process payroll on a timely basis using ADP, ensuring all employee hours, deductions, and benefits are accurately calculated and applied.
- Manage payroll adjustments, including bonuses, commissions, and reimbursements.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations during payroll processing.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, including tax withholdings, benefits, and deductions.
- Review and process new hires, terminations, promotions, and pay increases in the ADP system.
- Ensure proper reporting and reconciliation of payroll taxes and deductions.
- Stay up to date with payroll-related laws and regulations (e.g., tax laws, overtime rules) and ensure company payroll practices are compliant.
- Generate payroll reports and assist with audits and internal reporting.
- Provide accurate and timely reports for finance, tax filings, and management.
- Assist with year-end reporting, including W-2 processing, annual tax filings, and ensuring accurate distribution of payroll-related tax documents.
- Perform additional duties related to payroll as required by the department or company.
- Utilize ADP software to ensure smooth payroll operations and troubleshoot any issues with the ADP platform.
- Assist with any payroll system updates and configurations within ADP.
- Provide technical support to employees for ADP self-service platforms.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in payroll processing, with a strong focus on ADP payroll systems.
- Experience with payroll tax compliance, reporting, and handling payroll discrepancies.
- Strong knowledge of ADP Workforce Now (or other ADP platforms), as well as proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office software.
- In-depth understanding of payroll regulations and tax laws.
- Familiarity with employee benefits administration and payroll deductions.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in processing payroll.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
