Job Summary:
The Materials and Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of all materials and logistics functions. This role ensures the efficient flow of materials from suppliers to manufacturing and through to the end customer. The successful candidate will manage inventory, optimize supply chain operations, and ensure the timely and cost-effective distribution of products.
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor inventory levels and manage stock, including ordering, receiving, storage, and distribution of materials.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery of materials.
- Work with production and planning teams to forecast material needs and plan inventory levels accordingly.
- Control material costs through efficient procurement practices and inventory management.
- Ensure that materials meet quality standards and specifications.
- Address any issues related to material quality and performance.
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
- Manage warehousing operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of materials.
- Continuously assess and improve logistics processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
- Work closely with other departments (e.g., production, procurement, sales) to align logistics activities with overall business goals.
- Prepare and present reports on inventory, logistics performance, and cost management to senior management.
Job Specifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in materials management and logistics.
- Proven experience in managing suppliers, inventory, and logistics operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Willing to work in Makati.
- Can start ASAP.
